Energy Markets

​As capital intensive industries that are often viewed as providing critical products and services, the energy industries have always featured a large degree of regulation, state ownership, and policy intervention. Over the last forty years, however, all of the major energy industries have undergone a process of liberalization that has dramatically reshaped their competitive landscape. The Energy Markets research track works to analyze and document the challenges and effects of the shift in emphasis from regulation to markets.
